5TH RECONNAISSANCE REGIMENT CELEBRATES ITS 29TH ANNIVERSARY

The 5th Reconnaissance Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps celebrated its 29th anniversary on 06 January 2023 at the Ironside Camp premises. The celebrations began on 31 December 2022 with all-night pirith chanting and the following day almsgiving to Maha Sanga.

On the anniversary day, Lieutenant Colonel W A W T Sujith RWP psc, the Commanding Officer 5 SLAC was presented with a Guard Turnout and a parade.

Anniversary day activities included the planting of Saplings, opening of modified 7 sentry points, books donation programme and an All Rank tea, lunch.
