Sri Lanka Armoured Corps bade farewell to Brigadier W A Ariyarathne with a formal farewell dinner, held at the SLAC Regimental Centre premises at Cavalry Mess Rock House Camp on 5 March 2021 while complying with the COVID 19 safety regulations.
Brigadier Athula Ariyaratne retired on 21 February 2021 after completing over 34 years in the Army having held numerous important appointments in the Sri Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. Colonel Commandant Major General D B S N Bothota RWP RSP USP psc and President Armour Ladies Club Mrs Harshani Bothota along with Armour Ladies, Council Members, Senior Officers and Officers joined the event to honour Brigadier Athula Ariyarathne and his lady Mrs. Ruvini Ariyarathne.
