2ND UNIT MEETING OF ARMOUR LADIES CLUB AT 5 SLAC "IRONSIDE" CAMP

Armour Ladies Club (ALC), chaired by Mrs Piumali Thillekerathne along with some fellow members conducted the 2^nd ALC members meeting at 5 SLAC "Ironside" Camp on 30 August 2020. This programme intends to have an interaction with spouses of Officers and Other Ranks to inquire into the issues and difficulties experienced by the Cavalry families in view to address those and to provide assistance. The President of ALC Mrs Piumali Thillekerathne addressed the gathering and explained the aim of the programme at the outset, and thereafter office bearers of ALC interacted with each and every spouse individually and inquired into the issues and problems which they seek assistance. An expert assistance for counseling was also given by Lieutenant Colonel Chinthaka Dissanayaka a professional counselor. Armour Ladies Club together with the families enjoyed an entertainment session which marked the culmination of another memorable day. Lieutenant Colonel Sujith Kariyawasam, the Commanding Officer - 5 SLAC and all Ranks of 5 SLAC hosted the event.
