The Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and General Officer Commanding 12 Division, Major General ALPS Tillekerathne RWP RSP USP psc visited the 7 (V) Regiment of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps on 14 August 2020. He was honoured with a Guard Turnout followed by tree planting, Officers’ group photograph, CO’s briefing, Troop Address, and concluded with lunch at the Officers Mess. The Commanding Officer and all Officers and ORs of the 7(V) Regiment adhered to all stipulated Covid – 19 safety regulations throughout the programme.
During his troop address the Colonel Commandant emphasized on training, wellbeing and welfare of Officers and ORs. He also highlighted the necessity of improving the effectiveness of military operations in the AOR. He congratulated all Officers and ORs for their hard work and achievements, and requested to ensure 7(V) SLAC flag fly high.
