The 21st Annual General Meeting of Armour Ladies Club was held on 4th July 2020 at Rock House camp with the participation of many spouses of Cavalry Officers. Mrs. Piumali Tillekerathne, president of the Armour Ladies Club graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Major General A L P S Tillekerathne RWP RSP USP psc Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Advisor to the Armour Ladies Club together with Brigadier M S Devapriya USP Centre Commandant Regimental Centre participated as special guests to the event. They were warmly welcomed by the Vice President Mrs. Sareetha Silva together with Secretary Mrs. Dulashi Meepagala.
After lighting the traditional oil lamp, two-minute silence was observed in remembrance of all fallen war heroes. There after AGM was formally commenced with the recital of the Army Seva Vanitha song and election of office bearers & executive committee members.
The event became more fruitful with the address of Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armourd Corps Major General A L P S Tillekerathne RWP RSP USP psc. Q & A session had with Mrs. Manjulika Jayasuriya, a former president of Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit and Armour Ladies Club also attracted attention of everyone.
