Sri Lanka Armoured Corps bade farewell to outgoing Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage WWV RWP VSV USP ndcpsc, during a formal farewell ceremony, held at the SLAC Regimental Headquarters premises at Rock House on 30thSaturday 2020.
The day's event commenced with a ceremonial Guard Turnout, followed by a Guard of Honour salute, together with the regimental Colours at the Rock House ground.Brigadier M G T D Rathnasekara USP Commander Armoured Brigade and Brigadier M S Devapriya USP Center Commandant Sri Lanka Armoured Corps welcomed him together with Senior Officers and Officers of the Corps. The day’s event also included with a tree planting, all rank tea, troop address and later he was formally blessed with the traditional street lining.
The formal farewell was culminated with the customary a ‘Dinner Night’ hosted for Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage&MrsSheromiLiyanage by Officers of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and their Spouses in the Cavalry Officers’ Mess.
