BRIGADIER M K S SILVA RWP RSP TOOK THE REIGNS OF ARMOURED BRIGADE

Brigadier M K S Silva RWP RSP took up the reins as the Commander Armoured Brigade at the Armoured Brigade Headquarters today, 12 March 2018. Newly appointed Brigade Commander was warmly welcomed by the Lt Col R R M P N B Bambaradeniya RWP RSP USP psc - Staff Officer 1 - Armd Bde along with Lt Col N R L Gunasena psc - Commanding Officer 1SLAC and then honored with the Guard Turnout presented by the troops of 1SLAC. Afterwards, he assumed duties in the midst of Pirith Chanting by the Maha Sanga at the auspicious time. A tree planting event also took place at the Rock House premises to mark the assumption of duties. Brigadier M K S Silva RWP RSP then addressed the troops of Armoured Brigade, Regimental Centre and 1 SLAC highlighting the importance becoming professional and disciplined soldiers of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. The day event was terminated with an all rank tea party held at the Troopers’ Mess.
