First time in the history of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, three leading cavalry officers received the Vishishta SewaVibushanya (VSV) for their exceptional service to the motherland, at the awarding ceremony held on 08th October 2015. The Recipients, Maj Gen M P Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Maj Gen U A B Medawela RSP VSV USP ndu psc and Maj Gen N Udawatta WWV RSP VSV USP ndc psc were conferred the VSV by His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. The Ceremony was held at the President Secretariat.\r\n\r\nSri Lanka Armoured Corps takes pride in their achievement and wishes them the best of luck for the future.
