Sri Lanka Armoured Corps offered their share to the commemoration of Vesak Day by presenting the Vesak lantern which depicts "Mara Parajaya" at Buddharashmi Vesak Zone at Gangaramaya on 25 May 2021.
The vibrant lantern was crafted by the troops of Armoured Brigade under the supervision of Maj KAKD Kammalpitiya psc, Lt SR Yapa USP with numerous support from the rest of the members including WO II Thilakasiri G, WO II Jayasena JMP, S/Sgt Dharmadasa PM, Sgt Fernando SDA, Sgt Rupasinghe KGT, Cpl Ajith Kumara RP, Cpl Godapalage GGAK, Cpl Layanal RD, Cpl Rupasena, Cpl Pushpakumara, Cpl Bandara K, Cpl Gunawardhana RPHS, Cpl Priyantha WG, Cpl Premarathne KAP, Lcpl Wadanambi SWK and members of the technical section
