A special Mass invoking blessings on the forthcoming 67th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was held at St Andrew's Church Modera on 05 December 2022. In the event, religious observances started with the arrival of Brigadier W P Kariyawasam, Commander Armoured Brigade as the Chief Guest.
The special Mass and Thanksgiving service was solemnised after an introduction delivered on the occasion by Parish Priest Reverend Father Teshan Priyadarshana. At the outset of the ceremony, all the units’ flags were symbolically blessed. His Eminence in a special move extended blessings on Corps, as a recognition of the commitment to the country. The Holy Mass prayed for the souls of fallen War Heroes and those who went missing in action, injured War Heroes and simultaneously invoked blessings on all Ranks, those who are retired/serving and members of their families.
