Under the guidance of Mrs. Sumangali Pathiravithana, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAC-SVB), a Scholarship Awarding Ceremony was successfully held on 22 November 2025 at the Regimental Centre, SLAC. The event highlighted the branch’s continued commitment to the welfare and educational advancement of children.
Thirty students were selected for scholarships based on their outstanding performance in the G.C.E. O/L Examination 2024 and the Grade 05 Scholarship Examination 2025. Each student received a gift voucher and a special gift in recognition of their achievements.
Following the distribution of scholarships, a timely and inspiring motivational lecture was delivered by Lt Col Kalum De Alwis RWP USP psc, a Directing Staff Officer at the Defence Services Command and Staff College.
A total of 65 students, accompanied by their parents, along with 20 members of the SLAC-SVB, participated in the event.
