The Regimental Centre of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps hosted a colourful farewell parade for one of its proud cavaliers, Brigadier M A Izadeen RSP, the former Commandant, Ranaviru Apparel Yakkala who was to retire after 34 years of illustrious career.
The day’s ceremony commenced with the customary Guard Turnout and followed with a colourful parade. Later, he was offered a tea party and on the eve of his departure all Officers and Other Ranks extended their heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing distinguished Senior Officer by a traditional street lining.
To recognise his military leadership and unparalleled contribution, a “Brigadier’s Jug” was presented during the dinner Night hosted in honour of the retiring Brigadier of Sri Lanka Army by Officers of the Corps at the Cavalry Officers' Mess.
