SCHOOL BOOKS AND STATIONARY DONATION PROGRAMME AMONG THE CHILDREN OF SOLDIERS OF 4 ARMOURED REGIMENT

In a heartwarming gesture, President of the Armour Ladies Club, Mrs. Samangka Fernando made a significant contribution by distributing books among the children of soldiers of the 4 Armoured Regiment, which was organised on 05 November 2023 at 4 Armoured Regiment with the generous contribution of the President - ALC.

The event was organised to coincide with the official visit of the Colonel Commandant - SLAC to 4 Armoured Regiment.

After presenting token book packs to a cross section of children, Mrs. Samangka Fernando handed over the remaining consignment of stationary to the Team Leader, 4 AR Ladies to be distributed among the soldiers' children of the Regiment.

Maj Gen S W M Frrnando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Colonel Commandant and Mrs. Samangka Fernando graced the occation along with the Centre Commandant - SLAC, Commander Armoured Brigade, CO 4 AR and Mrs Kumudini Dissanayaka, Team Leader - 4 Armoured Regiment Ladies.

The gratitude of the parents and children of the Regiment was paid to Mrs. Samangka Fernando by a daughter of a war hero during her Vote of Thank.
