PUBLIC AND MEDIA WERE AWARE ON CAVALRY SUPERCROSS 2016

Press briefing was held on 13 May 2016 at the Cavalry Officers’ Mess at Rock House Camp Mutwal with the participation of Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) officials, Sponsors, officials of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and media personals. The press conference was presided by the Major General Milinda Peiris Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps along with Mr Nisan Wasalathanthri President SLARDAR, Brigadier Indunil Ranasinghe, Chairmen Organizing Committee and pioneer of the Cavalry Supercross, Mr Ravi Dadlani Vice President sales and marketing CEAT Sri Lanka and also with the participation of past year Champion Driver and Rider Mr Gayan Sandaruwan and Mr Pasindu Peiris. Addressing to media Major General Milinda Peiris said the six edition of Cavalry Supercross which organize to create a source of sustainable income for welfare projects within the corps, particularly supporting the immediate families of officers and men who scarified their lives to save the motherland and to uplift the infrastructure facilities for well-being of serving men in the corps. SLARDAR President Mr Nisan Wasalathanthri further stated that the Cavalry Supercross is a milestone for competitors and spectators alike since, Kurunegala is home to many drivers and riders also would be close enough to attract large numbers of spectators from Colombo, Kandy and suburbs.
