PIRITH CHANTING CEREMONY WAS HELD ON 10 MARCH 2024, TO INVOKE BLESSINGS TO ALL SERVING AND FALLEN HEROES OF THE 6 REGIMENT, SRI LANKA ARMOURED CORPS

On 10 March 2024, a solemn 'Pirith' chanting ceremony was organized by the 6 (Rft) Regiment, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, to invoke blessings upon both serving and fallen heroes who sacrifice their lives in the name of the mother nation. The night was marked by resonant 'Pirith' chanting, which began after Lt Col SUB Pilimatalawwe psc, the Commanding Officer of 6 SLAC, offered a betel tray. Among the attendees were Senior Officers and Other Ranks who gathered for this important event.

The Nayaka Thero, representing the Maha Sangha, delivered a heartfelt sermon, offering blessings for the organization, injured War Heroes, fallen War Heroes, and their families. The ceremony continued into the following day with the Offering of 'Heel Daana' and 'Sangeeka Daana' to ten monks at the same venue, marking the conclusion of the Buddhist religious ceremonies.
