MAJOR GENERAL SATHYAPPRIYA LIYANAGE ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE CHIEF OF STAFF OF SRI LANKA ARMY

The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps & Overall Operations Commander (Western Province/ Puttlam District) Major General S D T Liyanage WWV RWP VSV USP ndc psc assumed office as the new Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army on Tuesday (27) during a brief ceremony at the Army Headquartes.

Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage signed the first official document, after members of the Maha Sangha invoked blessings on the new appointment.

Commander Armoured Brigade, Centre Commandant – Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Senior Officers and Officers were among the participants.
