On 18 March 2024, the 1st Reconnaissance Regiment hosted the "Legacy of Honour: A Gala Tribute to the Commanding Officers" led by Lieutenant Colonel Ravindra Paragahathanthree and his team. Commemorating 68 years of valour, the gala highlighted the Regiment's illustrious history as the senior-most in the Sri Lanka Army.
Throughout the evening, speeches and tributes underscored the profound impact of Commanding Officers on the Regiment's identity, showcasing tales of courage and triumph. Emphasising the importance of passing down traditions, the event aimed to inspire future leaders to uphold the Regiment's values of honour, valour, and excellence.
