IRONSIDE IN HILLS DECLARED OPEN BY THE COMMANDER OF THE ARMY
Written By : Lt Col Anton Wijesekara RSP psc\r\n\r\nIRONSIDE IN HILLS The senior officers holiday bungalow of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was declared open by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General R M D Rathnayake WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc on 15 August 2014 at Diyatalawa. The Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and Vice Chancellor of the KDU, Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP USP ndc psc, senior officers and many officers of the Armoured Corps were present at this historic occasion.\r\n\r\nThis beautiful piece of architecture situated at the bank of Halangoda Lake facing the Ella camp of SLMA is a state of the art facility with four luxury rooms including a suite. The bungalow is tastefully decorated and furnished with attached bathrooms, a Jacuzzi, 24 hours running hot and cold shower, satellite colour television, mini bar, private balcony with the view of the lake and the mountains.
