COMMANDER OF THE ARMY AND COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE CORPS ACCORDED GUARD OF HONOUR ON HIS PROMOTION TO THE 4 STAR GENERAL RANK
General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps who was promoted to the rank of General, accorded a guard of honour by SLAC Troops keeping with military traditions at the MOD grounds on 17 June 2013 morning.
He is the youngest General in the Army to have received this rank while serving as the Commander of the Army.
