COLONEL COMMANDANT VISITS THE ARMOURED CORPS TRAINING CENTRE, 3 ARMOURED REGIMENT & 7 (VOLUNTEER) REGIMENT

Chief of Staff – Sri Lanka Army, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Maj Gen Sathyapriya Liyanage WWV RWP VSV USP ndc psc visited the Armoured Corps Training Centre, 3 Armoured Regiment and 7 (Volunteer) Regiment on 18 May 2020. During his visit he payed his tribute to the late Lt Gen Denzil Kobbakaduwa statue at Anuradhapura hospital circle, Fallen War Heroes Monument at Anuradhapura Salgadu ground and Armoured War Heroes’ Monument at Kalattewa.

During his troop address, he emphasized on Covid-19 outbreak and the responsibilities lies with military personnel during this exigence. He also highlighted the requirement of improving humaneness of the Soldier, inside the uniform and paid special regards to the Officers and Other Rankers who had sacrificed their lives for the betterment of the Nation.
