Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage WWV RWP VSV USP ndc psc, the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps made an official visit to 6 SLAC (rft) on 25 May 2020. To mark his visit, he was reverenced and esteemed by a Guard Turnout followed by troop address, tree planting and all ranks tea while adhering to the stipulated safety regulations to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage emphasized the qualities which the soldiers must inculcate and improve to keep the Regiment’s flag high and the qualities must augment to achieve the eminence in their personal existences.
During the visit to 6 SLAC he did not forget to visit and offer his respect to two Buddhist chief incumbents in the area.
