Brigadier P N Wijesiriwardena RSP USP, the Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, formally relinquished his duties on Wednesday, 27 December 2023, during a ceremonial event held at Rock House Army Camp.
The departing Centre Commandant was accorded a Guard Turnout, followed by a Farewell Parade, before officially handing over his responsibilities at his office. Subsequently, he posed in a group photograph with all officers. During the troop address, outgoing Centre Commandant expressed his gratitude to both Officers and Other Rankers for their unwavering support throughout his tenure as the Centre Commandant of the SLAC.
The proceedings concluded with a farewell tea hosted in honor of the outgoing Centre Commandant at the Regimental Centre. All officers and other ranks were positioned on Street Lining to extend their best wishes to the departing Senior Officer.
