Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Armoured Corps organized a Diners’ Club at the Cavalry Officers’ Mess in the evening hours on 11 September 2020 under the auspices of Major General A L P S Tillekerathna RWP RSP USP psc, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, with a view to widen the horizons of Cavalry Officers.
The Guest speaker was a distinguished military personality of all times. A great cavalryman, 19th Commander of the Sri Lanka Army and a Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. He also the 3rd Chief of Defence Staff and the former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Suriname. General Jagath Jayasuriya (Rtd) RWP VSV USP ndu psc with his extensive knowledge gained over three decades in every aspect of war from a Troop Leader to a 4-Star General, conducted a lecture on an important topic of contemporary value for the success of professional and Military life. The lecture titled “Traditions and Customs” spell-bounded the audience.
The Colonel Commandant, Commander Armoured Brigade, Centre Commandant and a large gathering of Senior Officers/Officers and invitees had enjoyed this rare occasion.
