The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, in a gesture of admiration and appreciation for exceptional hard work and commitment, praised Brigadier P A M Peris RSP USP psc with the Army Commanders’ Commendation Badge, on 10 October 2023 at the 74th Anniversary Day celebrations.
Brigadier P A M Peris RSP USP psc was awarded with the Commanders’ Commendation Badge, due to his incomparable commitment towards the nation building process; realizing the housing dream of the needy families living in the motherland, while going beyond the army duties and with the full coordination and direct involvement of Brigadier P A M Peris RSP USP psc, from the year 2018.
This humanitarian effort was monetarily supported by the friends of the Brigadier P A M Peris RSP USP psc, who live in aboard and Sri Lanka. Further, labour assistance provided by the SL Army troops.
During the project, 34 houses, each worth about Rs. 1,350,000 have been constructed and donated to the people in Vauniya, Weli-oya, Thanthiremale, Anuradhapura, Thabuththegama & Melsiripura areas during last 04 years and at present 02 houses are in under construction.
