BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN AT HOME OF ARMOUR

On the request made by the Blood Bank of Military Hospital members of the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Armoured Corps in line with the thinking of Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army initiated a blood donation campaign on Thursday (02) at Rock House Army camp. The basic aim of the campaign was to replenish bloodstocks at Military Hospital Narahenpita, considering the prevailing emergency in the wake of looming COVID-19 threat.

A total number of 56 Officers and Soldiers from Armoured Brigade, Regimental Centre and 1st Recce Regiment of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and 05 Soldiers from Commando Regiment, 03 Soldiers from Sri Lanka Air Force, 02 from civil staff donated their blood to the Blood Bank officials including Medical Officers of Military Hospital Narahenpita.
