ARMOURED CORPS TRAINING CENTRE (ACTC) WHICH FORMED ON 1ST JANUARY 1984 CELEBRATED HER 36TH ANNIVERSARY

Armoured Corps Training Centre (ACTC) which formed on 1st January 1984 celebrated her 36th Anniversary on Wednesday, 1st January, 2020 at ACTC -Kawarakkulama, Galkulama, ANURADHAPURA. ACTC consists with two main Wings as Training Wing & Adminis0tration Wing. Tactical Squadron & Training Support Squadron are established at Kalaththewa Camp and Automotive & Gunnery Wing is located at Kokawil under the Training Wing. The Administration Wing is located at Anuradhapura with all Administrative Institutions.

Past Commandants, Officers and Other Rankers of ACTC have given their great commitment to develop the Training Center and to enhance its training matters. This Training Center is contributing significant tasks to boost the professional standard of Armoured Corps soldiers. ACTC conducts a lot of military courses and professional courses which endemic to Armoured Corps. The endeavor, honest dedication, discipline, loyalty and legalism of Officers & Other Rankers, were great aids to increase the professional standard of this Training Center. The soldier, who entered this Training Center to follow courses, is converted as a qualified professional soldier at the termination of the course.

Lieutenant Colonel M W A R C Wijesuriya RSP USP accepted the salute as the Commandant of the ACTC on the Anniversary day (1st January 2020) in front of a well-attended gathering at the parade ground of the Training Center. Training Center Day activities also included a colorful Parade, a Tree Planting, All Ranks Tea Party and All Ranks Lunch and other were exciting and joyful Musical Evening.
