ARMOURED CORPS BOXER WON A BRONZE MEDAL AT INTERNATIONAL BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP

Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Boxer showed his colours in 58th World Military Boxing championship 2021 , organized by International Military Sports Council and excelled during September 16 to 26 held at Moscow Russia. Total of 231 boxers from 36 countries in ten weight categories for men and five for women performed at this tournament.

In the Light Fly 46 - 49 kg Weight Category, Boxer of Sri Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Lance Corporal Sanjeewa Nuwan MPG of 6 (Rft) Regiment , eliminated Issufo Yassine Nordine from Mozambia in Quarterfinals and defeated to Conceicao Siqueira dos sa Leanderso from Brazil during the semifinals and able to secure Bronze medal.
