Having noble intention to uplift the spirits of our differently-abled war heroes and to look in to their well-being, the Chairperson of Armour Ladies Club, Dr (Mrs) Harshini Bothota and fellow members together with several Senior Officers visited the ‘Abimansala-3’, wellness resort - Pangolla on 22 October 2022. The day's event unfolded with ward visits followed by offering of delectable snacks and donation of gift packs to individual inmates.
After the visit, the inmates at the ‘Abimansala-3’ were entertained with a musical programme. Later, the band of inmates at the wellness resort paid their gratitude to the visitors with an impressive musical performance.
The programme steered under the supervision of Lt Col W A W T Sujith RWP psc, Commanding Officer 5 SLAC. Col K P U A Kodippili RSP, Mrs Indika Bambaradeniya and District 306 C - 2 Lion's Club contributed for the gift packs. Lt Col D P A S A Witharana psc, Commanding Officer 4 SLAC facilitated the event through coordinating the Lion's Club members.
