Armour dashing through to became Champions of Lieutenant Colonels and above category of Sri Lanka Army Officers Annual Marathon 2016
Team of officers led by Brig Duminda Gamage won the Champions of Lieutenant Colonel and above category of the Sri Lanka Army Officers Annual Marathon 2016 and placed 4th in overall.\r\nCol Samantha Silva RWP RSP became the fittest and fastest Colonel in the Army having finished the Marathon as the 1st in Colonel Category and finishing 5th in overall.\r\nBrig Duminda Gamage, Brig Prathap Thilekeratne, Col Samantha Silva, Col G D Suriyabandara, Col Azad Izadeen, Lt Col Nagitha Bambaradeniya, Manoj Silva, Anton Wijesekara and Sanjaya Dharmarathna took part in Lieutenant Colonel and above category.\r\nOther officers took part in the Marathon are Maj Hasantha Hennadi, Ashok Kulathunga, Desh Bandaranayake, Kosala Dissanayake,Dammika Bandara, Ushan Ranaweera and Capt Madhusanka Samarathunga, Dissanayaka Prasanth, Capt Narada Bandara and Lt Maduwantha Silva and 2 Lt Danthanarayana.\r\n
