The 4 Armoured Regiment organized a Diners’ Club in the evening hours of 26 August 2023. Commander Security Forces Central and the Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Major General W W H R R V M N D K B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc attended the event as the Guest Speaker.
The topic, “Effective Trooping through Preparedness” underscored the importance of, on the job training. The guest lecturer highlighted the importance of understanding the characteristics and limitations of under command troops particularly in the current security environment defined by non-traditional threats. He brought out that; “officers need to increase the readiness mainly through adaptability, effective assessments and resource allocation while efficiently cooperating to improve resilience”. He emphasized that on the job training is an effective method to enhance practical skills and job-specific knowledge in the working environment.
The event was attended by the Commander Armoured Brigade, Director Psychological Operations and senior and junior SLAC Officers including serving officers of the 4 Armoured Regiment.
