The 4 Armoured Regiment Basketball team victoried as champions of the Inter unit Basketball Championship of SLAC for the third consecutive year beating their rival, 5 SLAC by 48 : 24 points as the finals drew up to the closure at the Clappenburg court on 31 August 2022.
The First Runners Up, Second Runners Up, Best Player, Best Attacker and Best Defender of the championship were crowned as 5 SLAC, 1 SLAC and Tpr Gunasinghe GAMM of 4 AR, Rec Jayawardane RL of 4 AR and Tpr Seneviratne Banda AMRK of 5 SLAC respectively.
The Championship was exclusively organised by the 4 AR and the Centre Comdt, Brig W P Kariyawasam, extending his support to all Basketball players, witnessed the final tussle as the Chief Guest of the occasion. The Comd of the Armd Bde, the Comdt of ACTC and all COs were also present to witness a great game.
