3 ARMOURED REGIMENT, SRI LANKA ARMOURED CORPS MARKED ITS 35TH ANNIVERSARY

3 AR SLAC celebrates its 35th Anniversary on 16 Nov 23 at camp premises, Kalattewa. Lt Col N V A M Vithanage RSP psc, The Commanding Officer of 3 SLAC graced the Anniversary Day events as the Chief Guest.

The customary religious blessings for the fallen and injured war heroes were conducted at Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and provided lunch to Ashoka Orphanage at Anuradhapura, prior to the Anniversary Day.

On the Anniversary Day, Guard Turnout and a colorful Parade was reviewed by the Chief Guest. This was followed by an awarding ceremony for the performances of last year, a troop address, planting a sapling to signify the day, paying tribute to fallen War Heroes at 3 AR War Heroes Memorial and All Ranks tea. The pgme terminated with All Ranks get-together and lunch.
