NEW COMMANDER 2 SIGNAL BRIGADE ASSUMED OFFICE

Brigadier TS Liyanagunawardana assumed duties as the 6th Commander of 2 Signal Brigade during a simple ceremony at 2 Signal Brigade Headquarters Menerigama, Padukka on 19 December 2025.

The General Staff Officer 1 (Operation/Coordinating) 2 Signal Brigade Lt Col AMCK Atapattu USP warmly received the incoming Brigade Commander upon his arrival and awarded with a Guard Turnout .

Next, the newly appointed Brigade Commander symbolically placed his signature on an official document to mark the assuming of duties, amidst religious observances at his office.

Later, the new Commander 2 Signal Brigade planted a Mango sapling at the 2 Signal Brigade premises to mark the occasion and attended to group photograph with Signal Brigade Staff to add much more memories to the day.

Finally, the senior officer made troop address and attended to all ranks' tea at the Brigade Headquarters.
