A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE WAS HANDED OVER TO A SIGNALLER

With the directions and guidance of Major General PAJ Peris ndu, the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and the Chairperson of Seva Vanitha branch Sri Lanka Signal Corps Mrs Sajeewani Peiris, and the supervision of former and present Commanding Officers of 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel MADS Muthugala USP and Major RDRM Fernando RSP USP psc respectively, in view of uplift the living standard of a Signaller, a newly constructed house was vested to the deserving family living in Nochchiyagama in Anuradapura District of S/283373 L/Cpl Weerasooriya JAW on 10th March 2022 at the auspicious minute amid Buddhist religious observances.

Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General PAJ Peiris ndu along with the Chairperson of Seva Vanitha branch Sri Lanka Signal Corps Mrs Sajeewani Peiris graced this ceremony. The main financial sponsor was Mr Dhanasiri Amarathunga and his family participated in handing over the keys to the beneficiary while the manpower and technical support were extended by the troops of 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

Senior officers of the Corp of Signals, few members of the Seva Vanitha branch of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, officers and other ranks of 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps were participated for the event.
