The Sri Lanka Signal Corps proudly inaugurated the ground floor of its newly renovated two-storied Officers’ Mess Accommodation Building Complex at Regimental Centre Panagoda, marking a significant milestone in the Corps’ ongoing infrastructure development efforts. The ceremonial opening was graced by Major General Sajith Liyanage USP nps psc the Chief Signal Officer and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, symbolizing the Corps’ commitment for enhancing the well-being and professional environment of its Officers.
This modernized facility upgraded with residential amenities to ensure greater comfort, convenience, and quality of life for the Officers. The improved complex is designed to support both operational readiness and personal welfare.
The renovation project was initially launched in 2023 under the visionary leadership of former Colonel Commandant, Maj Gen IHMRK Herath (Retd) USP. It aimed to transform the existing single-story building into a fully equipped two-storied accommodation complex, incorporating advanced facilities and improved architectural design to meet modern standards.
The successful completion of this project was made possible through the professional supervision of the DES and the dedicated efforts of the troops of the Corps of Engineer Services and Sri Lanka Signal Corps, whose technical expertise and hard work ensured the timely and high-quality execution of the renovation.
