SLSC Seva Vanitha Visits War Hero's Home Virudaru Members Visit Children's Ward at Maharagama
Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha unit members with the aim of finding the well-being of the family of the fallen War Hero, Major W.M.B.S Wanninayake visited his house at Wattala on February 4.
The Seva Vanitha team, led by Mrs Sandamali Abeysekara, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Unit during their stay with family members of the fallen War Hero exchanged pleasantries and inquired into their requirements, if any. Before their departure, the visitors gave away gift parcels to them and wished them good luck.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) Virudaru Society under the guidance of SLSC Seva Vanitha Unit went to the National Cancer Hospital, Maharagama and spent time with nearly 120 sick children in the ward.
In addition, these Viru Daru members bought the ward a medicine trolley, a requirement that persisted for some time. It cost Rs. 35,000/= to the SLSC Virudaru Society. Before their exit from the ward, all the children in the ward were given gift packets.
Several Army officers and Seva Vanitha Unit members, together with members of the Virudaru Society took part in the project.
