Quarterly Officers’ Training Day of the Corps of Signals for the 2nd Quarter of the year 2019 was held at the Signal Regimental Centre on 31 July 2019. The training programme started with Morning PT session that was held at SLSC Play Ground from 0600 hrs to 0700 hrs. As per the programme of the day, after the group breakfast at the Officers’ Mess till 0815 hrs, a period was allocated for all the young officers who were present to practice essential Sward Drills.
An active session on “Event Management” was conducted by Mr. Anura Galkanda at the conference Hall from 1030 hrs to 1230 hrs.
After the officers’ collective recreations held in the evening, as the last event of the day, the Diners’ Club was held at the Signal Regimental Officers’ Mess from 1900 hrs onward.
The programme was assigned to 11 SLSC for its organizing and conducting as directed by the Signal Regimental Centre. The Colonel Commandant of the Regiment Major General Nilantha Hettiarachchi and a considerable number of senior officers and officers enthusiastically participated the whole day programme.
