Signal Corps Rugby Team Advances, Defeating SLEME in Tournament Opener

The first match of the 2025 Army Inter-Regimental Rugby Tournament was successfully held on 23 June 2025 at the Sri Lanka Army Rugby Ground in Panagoda. The Sri Lanka Signal Corps faced off against the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) in a competitive opening encounter.

The Signal Corps Rugby Team emerged victorious, taking their first step forward in the tournament with a commanding performance. They secured a 32–0 win after two rounds of play. Despite the loss, the SLEME team demonstrated commendable skill and determination throughout the match.
