PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM REFRESHER COURSE NO-1 SCHOOL OF SIGNALS
Public Address System Refresher Course No 1 was successfully held at the School of Signals on 18 and 19 February 2016. School of Signals designed this 2 days workshop to provide adequate refreshing knowledge for Officers and Other Ranks on installing, provisioning and handling of upgraded PA systems in the units and Corps of Signals during different functions at different levels in the Army as well as in the social functions.\r\n\r\n On behalf of the Commandant of the School of Signals, Chief Instructor, Major N PA Mendis psc SLSC delivered the opening address of the workshop emphasizing the difficulties and failures in the provision of PA systems by Signalers during the past and its critical requirement to overcome those aspects in order to provide a specialized service even by the lowest level personnel in the Corps of Signals.\r\n \r\n As the participants greatly appreciated the knowledge they gained and strongly requested, the Commandant decided to increase the number of days up to 3 days for the next program particularly inserting the practical handling of Multi-media Projectors. 3 Officers and 31 ORs from 1SLSC, 3 SLSC, 4 SLSC, 5 SLSC, 6 SLSC, 7 SLSC, 9 SLSC, 11 SLSC and 2(v) SLSC participated for the course and 10 SLSC too provided modern equipment and instructors to make it a successful program.
