PRESENTING OF NEW IP COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

As per the direction given by General Shavendra Silva RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army the event of presenting of new IP Communication System to the Sri Lanka Military Academy was held on 19th December 2021with the presence of Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps and the Chief Signal Officer, Major General Maj Gen P A J Peiris ndu and alonge with DGGS and Comd ARTTRAC Major General Maj Gen S U M N Manage WWV RWP RSP psc.

This IP Communication System which was produced in Japan in the year 2021 could accommodate 200 extension lines and it can be upgraded up to 1500 lines when required. Pure IP Communication system with transparent TDM enabling, IP or Digital Voice Support, Application Integration, Mobility Access, Station Hunting & flexible deployment, Call Management and one-touch speed dial are some of the special features of this Communication System.

Hence, this new IP Communication System will certainly upgrade the Communication System in the Sri Lanka Military Academy aiming to achieve the standards that have been laid by the Sri Laka Army Way Forward Strategy 2020-2025 which was patronaged by the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil.
