OFFICERS’ MESS RENOVATED AND OPENED BY 2 (V) SLSC TROOPS

After the redeployment in Dalukana on 16 August 2020, accelerating the infrastructure development in the unit, 2(V) SLSC troops achieved another objective as renovating and opening the New Officers’ Mess.

The Officers’ Mess was declared opened on 13 March 2021 by a simple ceremony whereas Commanding Officer – 2(V)SLSC Lt Col A A T Somaratne USP graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest with the invitation of Second In Command Maj HMGIUB Herath psc and all Officers.

Amidst Ritual drumming (Mangul Bera) by the members of Cultural Team of 2(V) SLSC, the Commanding Officer unveiled the plaque and declared the opening of New Officers’ Mess.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the 2(V) SLSC attended the event.

After the opening Chief Guest together with Officers and the members of the construction team posed for a photograph to mark the event and for an appreciation of their effort.
