NEWLY BUILT ‘HERMES’ LECTURE HALL OPENED IN SCHOOL OF SIGNALS

Fulfilling yet another long felt need, a newly constructed lecture hall of School of Signals was declared open by Colonel SJKD Jayawardena USP psc, the Commandant, School of Signals on 05 April 2021.

As the auspicious minute struck, the Commandant, unveiled the plaque and enter to the newly constructed ‘Hermes’ lecture hall by cutting the ribbon. Then, the Commandant made a site visit in the lecture hall area and he joined a tea party arranged at the premises there he shared couple of thoughts with the gathering and appreciated the labor power of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps that extended to raise the project by shading sweat within a very short period of time.

With the view to mark the brief occasion, in the invitation of Commandant School of Signals, a sapling of butter fruit was planted in the premises by Major (Retd) ASK Dasanayaka, Managing Director of Shine Top Lanka who extended engineering support for floor construction of the Lecture Hall.

Senior Officers including, Chief Instructor, Staff Officers of the School of Signals and Other Ranks attended for this ceremony.
