New Director IT Takes over Duties

The new Director, IT in the Directorate of Information Technology, Brigadier Ashoka Peiris took over duties on Friday (27) during a simple ceremony, giving pride of place to religious observances.

After members of the Maha Sangha invoked blessings on his new office, he symbolized the acceptance of the new appointment after placing his signature in a formal document. Afterwards, he had a meeting with senior officers in the Directorate to receive updates on the role and tasks of his new office.

Senior Officers, Officers and a few Other Ranks were associated with the occasion.
