Maj Gen B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc took over the duties as the Chief Signal Officer (CSO) on 11th April 2017. The event included with a Guard Turnout and was followed by a charming religious rituals held at the Headquarters Chief Signal Officer at the Army cantonment Panagoda. Amid chanting of Seth Pirith by the Buddhist Priests, the new CSO lit the traditional oil lamp and signed the first official document signifying the acceptance of the new appointment in the presence of senior officers. CSO addressed the Staff Officers and ORs of the HQ CSO, unfolding his policies prior to commencing duties.
