LAUNCHING OF THE REGIMENTAL SONG SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS
The Launching Ceremony of the Regimental Song of Corps of Signals was held at the Regimental Centre on 04 July 2016 at the Signals Auditorium, Panagoda. This event was augmented with the participation of Past Regimental Commanders and Colonel Commandants of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Senior Officers, Retired Regimental Sergeant Majors and Cross-section of Other Ranks from each under command unit. The Signal Regimental Song was composed with the untiring efforts of the past Colonel Commandants and individuals those who committed until this dream become a reality. This song was written by well-known Lyricists Lieutenant Colonel W D S N Fernando who is commonly known as Mr. Dharma Sri Nandalochana, the music composed sung by the Veteran Musician Mr. Jagath Wickramasinghe along with Signallers. Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General K R P Rowel RSP USP ndu psc has delivered a brief introductory note touching upon Evolution of Signals. In appreciation of service rendered the Colonel Commandant presented mementos to past Commanding Officers of 1st Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Past Regimental Commanders and Colonel Commandants who grace the occasion.
