Brigadier H P Seneviratne USP ndu of the Corps of Signals was promoted to the rank of Major General on 06th September 2018 with effect from 31st August 2018.
Major General H P Seneviratne USP ndu joined the Sri Lanka Army on 31st October 1985 as an Officer Cadet with Intake 22 and received his basic military training from Sri Lanka Military Academy and Officers Training School Pakistan. After successful completion of his Officer Cadet training, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 24th July 1986 and was posted into the prestigious Sri Lanka Signal Corps.
During his tour of duty up to date, he served the Corps of Signals and to the Army in numerous Command, Staff and Instructional appointments in different areas of the country displaying a high degree of professionalism and utmost commitment in discharging duties and responsibilities entrusted to him. He is also an International Level sportsman in the Practical Pistol Division of Sports Shooting and a recognized Range Officer. Presently he is holding the appointment of the Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Inspection of the Sri Lanka Army.
Major General H P Seneviratne USP ndu is an immaculate Alumna of Seevali Central College, Rathnapura.
