Sri Lanka Signal Corps of the Sri Lanka Army was decorated with the Award of "Stall with the Best Demonstration" at the end of the INFOTEL National ICT Exhibition 2017 held at the BMICH from 2nd to 5th November 2017. It was highlighted at the ceremony that this award was granted to the Army based on the following attractive innovations exhibited and demonstrated by Signallers to the outsized gathering of public who witnessed the exhibition until the last date:
• GPS Tracking System.
• Software Define Radio System.
• Software Define Network System.
• Weapon Simulator.
• LiFi System.
• Radio Relay Network (Sri Lanka Army).
• Communication Vehicle (C4I Vehicle).
• Inter Operable Radio Interface.
The Exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure together with Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITISL) who are the voice of Sri Lankan "ICT" industries. The Secretary of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Mr. Wasantha Deshapriya graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the prizes awarding ceremony that was taken place at Hilton Colombo Residencies on 4th November 2017.
