The foundation stone laying ceremony to reconstruct new ‘Miridiya Pawana’ Holiday Bungalow for Officers and Other Ranks took place at Minneriya on 26 June 2020.
Major General DAPN Dematanpitiya ndu psc the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and the Commandant of Defense Services Command and Staff College attended this function as the Chief Guest for this event.
Further, prior to stone laying ceremony the Colonel Commandant visited Minneriya Wawe Devalaya to get the blessings. After that the Chief Guest arrived to the ‘Miridiya Pawana’ and he was welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 2(V) SLSC Lieutenant Colonel AAT Somarathne USP.
Subsequently giving priority to the religious activities the foundation digging was started and Colonel Commandant laid the foundation stone at the auspicious minute.
Deputy Centre Commandant of Regimental Center of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Colonel GGA Gunasekara USP, and few other Senior Officers also attended to this ceremony.
