Corps of Signals marked it\'s 72nd Anniversary in a grand scale at the Panagoda Regimental Headquarters on 19 October 2015. The Corps of Signals lined up series of events to mark this important milestone and was commenced on 17 October 2015 along with the Remembrance Ceremony. The event was graced by the Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Signal Corps Maj Gen KRP Rowel RWP USP ndu psc with the participation of Serving and Retired Senior officers and parents, widows & children of fallen war heroes who made supreme sacrifice to bring rays of peace to our beloved mother land. \r\n\r\nThis was followed by the customary event of overnight pirith chanting, the ceremony to owe the blessings of noble triple gems next to a colorful procession with the participation of troops from all units. Later followed by a morning \'Heel Dana\' and alms giving ceremony organized for 72 Buddhist Monks in the noon. The Corps of Signals didn\'t forget to address the family members present during all religious activities and to appreciate their presence on 17th and 18th of October ‘Remembrance Ceremony\' and the \'Alms giving ceremony\' respectively.\r\n\r\nOn 19 October 2015, the days programme commenced with a guard turnout and a colorful parade given for the Colonel Commandant. Thereafter, Colonel Commandant addressed all officers gathered for the occasion. Later, during the All Ranks lunch 10 most outstanding sports men and women were felicitated. After a careful and in detail evaluation process, 1 SLSC emerge \'Best Battalion of the year\'.\r\n\r\nDays celebrations came to an end with the Officers Mess Get-togather at the Regimental Officers\' Mess with the participation of more than 200 serving and retired members and their ladies. \r\n
