COMMANDER SIGNAL BRIGADE VISITS VOLUNTEER SIGNALERS

The Commander Signal Brigade Brigadier GLSW Liyanage USP psc The 08th Commanding Officer of 2nd (Volunteer) Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps made his maiden visit to the 2nd (Volunteer) Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Dalukana on 08th December 2021.

On the arrival the Commander Signal Brigade was welcomed by the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel BP Udage USP and followed by Guard turn out. Then he planted a sapling to mark his visit. The commander Signal Brigade Opened newly constructed Gymnasium. Then he addressed the troops on Principles of Signal corps and the changing of attitude towards a better future. Subsequently he participated for the all ranks tea.

The Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive briefing on the state of signal communications in Security Force (East) AOR and there, the Brigade Commander had a discussion on communication issues with Commanding Officer and Divisional Signal Officers.

Before concluding the day’s itinerary, Commander Signal Brigade shared his valuable thoughts with officers and instructed all officers about their role among the Army and within the Regiment. Then sat for lunch with all officers at the Lake Side and left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Visitors’ Book before the culmination of the day's proceedings.
